A practical guide

How to choose your first useful workflow

Look for a recurring task with a clear beginning, a useful result, and someone who can check it.

Start with last week

List the work you repeated, the information you chased, and the things that stalled while someone waited for an answer. Pick one task you recognize immediately.

Define a useful result

“Use AI” is not an outcome. A complete brief, a checked document list, or an approved response is. Describe the result before choosing a tool.

Try a small version

Use a few representative examples and keep a person reviewing every result. Include an incomplete request and an exception. Compare the total effort with how you work today.

Make the next step explicit

If the result is useful, agree the tools, the owner, the approval rules, and ongoing costs. If it is not, change the approach before expanding it.

A little clarity goes a long way
